The last weekend in March saw the 6990 Students do the "Fifth Quasi-Annual Isil Yildirim Memorial Peace River Canoe Trip", so named because it was the crazy idea of a Turkish Exchange Student in 1994 to do this trip in the first place. That year there were 8 brave souls who braved the river and Bruce's cooking. This year it was 23 humans and one fine dog, Chief.
