This year's class of 14 participated in the first "social" event of the year for all - the District Conference in Key West - from Friday September 24th to Sunday September 26th. One unique feature of this year's event was the fact that Interact students fom high schools from Broward and Miami-Dade Counties, as well as Key West High School, joined with the Youth Exchange students in the weekend activities, and the Youth Exchange students participated with the Interacters in a musical rendition of Rotary's "Four Way Test" at the Conference. That show, planned and directed by Wendy Christopher, Youth Activities Chair, received a standing ovation by the more than 200 Rotarians in attendance. The Youth Exchange Committee and the Youth Services Committee would thank all of Rotarians and non-Rotarians that made this weekend possible; especially JENNIFER WHORTON, member of Key West RC, Doug Morgan, Key West RC, Jack Martin Key West RC, Tom McDermott, Miami Kendall RC, and a BIG thank you to Beverly Vanessa Perez, member of the Key West Interact Club for finding a place to stay for the Interacters.
