Stiltsville
is a little city of homes build in Biscayne Bay, Miami. Originally
started in the 1930's, Stiltsville is now down to only a handful of homes,
and they are scheduled to be removed on July 1, 1999 if the National Park
service has it's way. Many people in South Florida, and especially
those in Miami who use the homes in Stiltsville as weekend retreats, are
fighting this plan. Will next year's class get to go to Stiltsville?
We shall see. For now these pictures will give those unfamiliar with
the place some idea of where Stiltsville is.
